As of 21 November 2011, UNIMERCO changes its name to KYOCERA UNIMERCO.

The Japanese conglomerate acquires Unimerco Group A/S and all associated companies as of 11 July 2011. Unimerco will continue all activities as an independent unit in the Kyocera Group, and management as well as all employees will continue in the new company. For Unimerco, the change of ownership leads to a larger product range and more employees.

Danish tooling group Unimerco has just ended its financial year with a profit of DKK 39 million (£4.4 million). The significant turnaround from last year’s historic deficit of DKK 53 million (£6.0 million) is primarily based on savings and efficiency improvements, but the company has also launched a number of activities to ensure future growth.
